3 Reasons Why You Still Have Belly Fat

3 Belly Fat Causing Habits

Do you know what causes belly fat?
Do you think that you have belly fat because you are eating too many calories?
How about not exercising as much as you should?

The 3 items above do play a role, but those are not the ones that we are going to to talk about today.

Now here are the 3 main causes of belly fat that you may not be looking at, along with helpful tips for eliminating them from your life.

Belly Fat Bloater #1 – Processed, Refined and Fast Food

Do most of the foods you eat come pre-packaged and ready to cook quickly or eat on the run?
If so, you are likely taking in way more calories, fat, carbohydrates and sodium than you realize and that you should be having.
All of these things have a bloating effect on your body, which can make your stomach appear to be fatter than it really is.
Beyond that, just eating a fatty, high-calorie diet will indeed cause fat deposits to be stored on your body, and one of the first places fat is stored ( and the last place for it to be removed) is on your belly area.

Eliminating this cause of belly fat is as simple as “fixing and simplifying” your diet!
Start cooking your own meals, and include plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fat like those that come from olive oil, avocados,  salmon, and flax. Yes, although salmon, avocados  and olive oil are fats, they are healthy fats and used properly they can help you feel full longer so you won’t be tempted to snack on junk.

Belly Fat Cause #2 – Alcohol (not just too much but also in moderation)

If you are in the habit of partying regularly with friends, you are probably taking in a lot of extra calories from alcohol.  Not to mention the fact that drinking makes you forget all about healthy eating so you stuff and gorge yourself – and yea, you know it’s true.  Do this often enough and belly fat is here to stay.  You’ve heard of people having a “beer belly” right?  That’s where that phrase comes from – lots of calories equals larger gut!  It is also said that although alcohol is fat free it does cause much of the food you eat while you drink to turn to fat.

If you don’t want to give up alcohol altogether, maybe compromise and have just one drink and then switch to club soda with lime.
ok, and if this still doesn’t appeal to you at least plan your snack and meals out ahead of time and only have those foods around you.

Stressful Belly Fat Cause #3 – Stress – Stress and More Stress

Stress is a major cause of belly fat, due to a stress hormone called cortisol.   In our high-stress world, we’re in a state of constant stress every single day, which keeps releasing more and more cortisol into our systems.  One of the side effects of excess cortisol in the bloodstream is storage of fat in the abdomen.
To eliminate this belly fat cause from your life, it’s important to manage your stress every day.  Take long walks to burn off tension, sit quietly and breathe deeply, and spend time doing things you enjoy.  This will help balance out those times when you can’t avoid feeling pressured, at work and elsewhere.

Yes, it’s almost impossible to avoid stress but if you can keep it to a minimum, watch your alcohol consumption and avoid processed and grab and eat food, then you will be able to finally melt away that belly fat.

Lose Belly Fat With 8 Easy Tips

Lose Belly Fat With 8 Easy Tips

Rather than lose weight proportionately, many people would like to get rid of fat in specific parts of their bodies. One such body part that is the focus of many weight loss woes, male and female alike, is the belly (also known less-than-fondly as the ‘gut’).

Exercises such as crunches that build your abdominal muscles will certainly benefit your overall metabolism and thus help you lose weight throughout your body.

They will not, however, focus their fat-melting benefits on your belly any more than your thighs, face, or rear end. Your new muscles will simply be hidden beneath those minimally diminished layers of fat.

Weight loss paraphernalia – rubber belts, body wraps, creams, special clothing – all do little more to melt belly fat than to induce a degree of sweating, yet another false form of weight loss. Water-weight loss is easily regained.

It is a total myth that you can slim up a particular area of your body by working that part of your body out. There’s even a name for this false belief; they call it “spot reducing” and it’s a dead end road. The truth of it is: you cannot tell your body where to lose the fat from.

Everyone’s body processes and distributes fat differently. We each have our own shape and the sad and simple fact of it is that the areas on our bodies where new fat we put on is first inclined to appear are the very last spots for that fat to come off when we lose weight.

If  fat shows up in your belly first, then understand now that it’ll be the last part of your body to lose the weight, meaning that the only way to achieve any weight loss in that area is to put yourself on a total body weight loss and management program.

To lose weight from fat, and maintain your ideal weight, requires a habitual program of realistic and achievable behavior modifications to reshape the way you live your life, those modifications being in the areas of:

•    Diet
o    Graze – eat fewer large meals and more frequent smaller ones
o    Count Calories – eat the right amount of calories per day for your metabolism
o    Read Labels – get the most nutritional value out of the calories you eat
o    Limit Fat – cut down on oils and fatty foods in general and avoid fried foods altogether
•    Activity
o    Work Out – exercise more (and more effectively), including both cardiovascular/aerobic and weight-lifting/resistance training
o    Just Move It – increase your general level of activity

You can lose that unwanted belly fat, but not overnight, and not without a concerted and determined effort on your part. The reward, however, is that in the process of losing that belly fat you’ll be slimming down proportionately along every part of your body.

3 Simple Tips to Get Rid of Belly Fat

Posted on 25 June 2009 by

If you look in the mirror and see that your belly sticks out or hangs down over your belt then it’s time for you to start working on your mid-section.

And no, getting rid of belly fat is not as hard as some make it out to be.

By the time you are finished reading this article, you will be on your way to  a thinner and healthier you in the future.

Warm weather will be here before you know it and the beaches will be filled with overweight people stuffing their faces with sugary sodas and potato chips. Only you will not be one of them when you start using these tips and start getting rid of unwanted belly fat.

1.    Skip the dull boring ab exercises and start implementing a muscle building routine. If you think cardio is the only way to burn fat, you are wrong! Your midsection is a fat cells paradise. They love sticking around and causing you all kinds of heartache.

The only way to lose weight in the midsection is to start losing fat in other parts of your body. You accomplish this by building lean muscle mass and replacing fat cells.

2.    Complex carbohydrates are your friend.  Do not get caught up in the low carb fad.  It’s made America a nation of fat people.  Sure you will lose weight in the beginning, but in the end, you will gain back twice what you lost. Eating a healthy amount of complex carbohydrates will keep you energized throughout the day and you will not see the viscous mood swings that occur with low carb diets.

3.    Cross train – Doing the same dull cardio routine is boring. Anyone who spends countless hours on the treadmill is crazy. Mix it up, go for a bike ride, and swim laps in a pool. You can even get crazy and pretend your training for a triathlon.

Losing body fat should be the goal of anyone over weight. The risks of disease only escalate when you allow stubborn fat to hang around. Everyday not spent trying to better our health is equal to the ten days we will lose from allowing excess fat to hang around. Only you can make that choice, either live a sedentary lifestyle filled with disease or change to a healthy lifestyle and add years to your life.

Just imagine how you will feel when you start getting rid of unwanted belly fat. The joy you will feel each morning you wake! Your energy level will sky rocket and you will have the ability to accomplish anything you want throughout the day. Life will become miraculous and each day you live as a healthy person will be motivation for others.
