Guide To Muscle Building

Posted on 28 June 2008 by

Muscle building is all about exercise to activate muscle growth.  The amount of pressure and resistance required that would lead to the development of muscles in your body.  In order to maximize development there is a need to know ones own body type.  Determining your genetic structure would greatly improve the ways in which you could utilize programs that would eventually be able to maximize growth development.

There are three different body types which are the ectomorphs, endomorph and the mesomorph.  To make things easier to distinguish all you need to do is just remember bone structure and its pattern.  The ectomorphs are individuals with long and thin bones.  A person having this type of genes is naturally skinny because they have a very high metabolism.  The endomorphs are individuals with big and round bones.  This particular type of individual is naturally fat.  They store fat as easily.  You could say that they are the exact opposite of the ectomorphs.  Lastly, we have the mesomorphs.  This type of individual has the luckiest body type.  It has the best of both body types.  It can metabolize like the ectomorphs and can gain weight like the endomorphs.  This is the ideal body type for athletes.  Their bone structure could be considered to big and round like the endormophs and not as thin and long like the ectomorphs.  They are in the middle and therefore they gain complete balance.

After determining which body type you belong to you can do appropriate dietary plans.  Diet is essentially needed whatever body type a person has.  The ectomorphs having a fast metabolism need high calorie and high protein diet.  Calories are needed to supply your body with enough energy and proteins in the other hand promote muscle growth.  The endomorphs in the other hand needs to limit their caloric intake.  Therefore they have a low calorie and high protein diet. Low calorie intake is essential because endomorphs can easily gain weight as fast as ectomorphs lose them.  They have a low metabolism.  The mesomorphs in the other hand needs a decent amount of caloric intake and high protein.  They do have metabolism but it is not as fast burning as the ectomorphs.  The normal body caloric need is enough to sustain your energy requirements.  Did you notice that all body types needs a high amount of protein?  It is due to the fact that the body needs them to enhance muscle growth.

Exercise is extremely important because without activity there would be no stimulant to increase your muscle mass.  The key to a successful exercise is not the length of time you do it but rather it depends on its consistency and number of repetitions.  Exercising two whole days in a week could not match the effectiveness of an hour everyday exercise.  Your exercise would depend on which part of your body you want to develop.  I suggest that you do it one body part at a time so you will not get tired so easily.  Muscle building will benefit you not only for aesthetic purposes but also for your self confidence.  It is worth a try.
